It all started with two beautiful puppies

In 2006 I received two amazing gifts called Harvey and Poppy. Harvey was a Black Labrador and Poppy was a Border Collie and it soon became evident that they needed my full attention and love far more than I needed any 9 to 5.30. After a short time, more and more people noticed that I was training both our pups to be service dogs and I would often be asked what was involved and how they were getting on.

This led to me being approached to see if I would be interested in walking their dogs, looking after them while they were on holiday or just taking them for a vet appointment when work commitments got in the way. Fast forward 17 years and am still enjoying  as much now as I did back then.

In 2019 I lost both Harvey and Poppy, it was a soul-destroying experience, I had never felt such loss and pain like it and coming home to an empty house was just horrible.

Then in 2021, I was lucky enough to bring a new member into my family home, a black Labrador I named Norbert. I travelled to Wales to get him for a family who had no idea we were going to get him. The look on their face was one of disbelief when they found out he was going to be ours and have never looked back.

He is so soft and loving and has filled the hole in my heart that losing Harvey and Poppy left behind. He is now becoming an amazing pet, a friend for us both and a great assistance dog. With current expectations, he will hopefully be fully trained by the end of 2024 if not sooner so if you see us out and about please feel free and say hello.
