Since lockdown, more people now understand the physical and mental wellbeing that a family pet can bring, from the moment you wake up in the morning to the welcome you get when you walk through the door in the evening and we understand that their health is just as important to you as your own.
This has led to us getting more and more enquiries to transport family pets by land to/from destinations such as UK, Ireland, France, Spain, Germany, Italy and Norway. Our clients want the best form of stress-free transport for their family pet, and we offer that service at Paws to Doors Isle of Man. We will not transport any other clients pets at the same time as yours and therefore we work exclusively for you.
Transporting pets by air can present several issues. Firstly, airlines have specific policies regarding the size, weight, and breed of animals allowed on planes. Some airlines may not allow certain breeds or may have restrictions on the number of animals allowed per flight. They also prioritise more expensive cargo or luggage over transporting a family pet. This may lead to your family pet being left for hours in a crate waiting to be loaded or moved from place to place and handled by people who don't care about your pet.
Additionally, your pets may experience stress or health problems before, during and after the flight such as dehydration, anxiety, diarrhoea or vomiting which may lead to them being left in that mess until the aircraft lands or they are brought back to the Animal Reception Centre, if they did not make the flight.
Then you have the added complication that they may be considered too ill to travel and unfortunately can not fly until they get the all-clear, but in the meantime you have no idea what is going on, where they are, when they are going to arrive and never mind the added expense with stress levels increasing.

We understand that relocation to another country can be a daunting challenge, especially if you have all your possessions in transit and young children with you. We may not be able to transport your children, but we do aim to make the experience of relocating your family pet a far more relaxing and comfortable event for both them and you.

We switch the bedding for every journey which is fully cleaned and disinfected, we also have a paw washer, towels and a deodorising spays as well.
